Even now, the PhilSea is helping at a nuclear research lab.  The armor plates

were removed and are being used as shielding  in the Proton Accelerator at the Fermi National Laboratory.

Patches are the U.S. Navy Patch, The U.S. SEVENTH Fleet, the U.S. SIXTH Fleet, the
official CV-47 ship's patch, the Task Force 77 patch, the standard PHIL SEA hat and one
with the carrier silhouette representing the nine engagement stars awarded the PHIL SEA for
her Korean service. The triangular one represents the "MEATBALL) (Battle Efficiency Pennant)
